Michelle, I found my computer locking up whenever I got online for awhile. My computer tech friend told me to Control Panel, click on Automatic Updates, and turn it off while I work, then turn it back on when I'm done and leave it online to update. Go back after awhile, check download progress and log off when it's finished. It certainly improved the speed while I worked. Good luck. easygoingcountrylady
